Sergio Canales: Real Madrid Are The Best Team In The World

Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Canales has hailed his side as "the best team in the world" and is hopeful of winning against Racing in Santander this weekend.

Canales featured in los Blancos' 7-0 victory over Malaga in the Spanish Primera Division at the Bernabeu on Thursday evening as he came on as a substitute two minutes after the hour mark.

It was only the 20-year-old's fifth appearance of the season in the league under Jose Mourinho but Canales is eager to carry on playing his part.

"I played again tonight and I always felt the support of the crowd," said the youngster after the game, according to Madrid's official website.

"I try to do my best to pay them back. This is the best team in the world and I fight to play.

"Everything's fine. I have to continue to work in order to earn more playing time."

Looking ahead to Madrid's encounter against his former club Racing Santander on Sunday evening, Canales commented, "It will be beautiful to face Racing in Santander.

"It will be a difficult game and we hope to take three points. I only think about winning all of our remaining encounters."
